NO JOKE! I didn't really set out to have a comic that didn't have a punchline, but once I got to the end, I came to feel that tacking any pointless pun, zing, or joke would just diminish the comic as a whole.

I'm interested in your thoughts, my fans. Should I use Guys In Color to, on occasion, wax philosophical, or would it be better to just stick to the jokes?

Seriously, weigh in with your thoughts. The person who says the most gets a cookie. :D

The best comics are the ones where, after the characters have been developed in the early, cheap-joke strips, deeper topics can be approached. Look at Calvin & Hobbes, agreed by heaps of people to be one of the best newspaper comics around. There are heaps of one-off funnies, but a lot of the stories are devoid of humour and instead cover more philosophical ground. As long as it doesn't ever get so heavy that you lose your casual readers, I say go for it.
