Guys In Color Updates

I'm not promising a full return. Yet. But I have made new vectored versions of Grey, Red, Pink, and Green.

10 points to the person who identifies who's new there. :)

The characters will be getting a two-tone treatment, at the very least. Thanks to the wonders of grouping, I can build rather complex character shapes which still make it easy to draw out.

I'll hopefully get around to doing Blue, Yellow, and White. Also I need a new male character. Any ideas?

News � On Hiatus

As much as it pains me to admit this, I simply haven't found the time to resume making Guys In Color. The comics themselves take around an hour each to make, and with a whole lot of new projects landing on me suddenly, I'm finding that hour more and more difficult to come by.

This isn't unique to GIC, by any means. Quickshots, which I've been doing for well over a year, is teetering on delays. I've managed to get several of the comics out only at the last minutes, and I'm rapidly burning through my excess stash. I haven't done enough writing by any measure, and my super-secret side project (JeevesPlace) has entirely failed to launch on time.

I keep saying that soon, sometime very soon, I'll get my legs under me, and all these many delayed projects will just fly together...

...I'm going to keep on saying that too, though now I'm not going to bother saying when.

Guys In Color will not be returning as scheduled.

Don't panic, it's not that bad.

Lately, I've come to realize that trying to do 5 comics a week is impacting my ability to be a writer, which is my main job/life. While I was on vacation, I did almost no comics, and did lots and lots of writing... and it felt so good... so very good...

Anyways, I'm not going to just stop the comics. I love the comics, and I love the feedback and the...well...everything. But I need to balance it all out. If/When I can do 2 hours of writing a week AND 5 webcomics, I'll gladly resume, but for now, I'm going to go easy on myself.

So, to sum up, Guys In Color will not be resuming this Tuesday, nor will there be an update on Thursday. Instead, expect the next Guys In Color, and all the following for some time, to be put out on Sunday.
